Call for Research Assistants (Paid Positions)

I am currently seeking highly motivated and talented undergraduate and graduate students to join my research team. Our group focuses on Data-Driven Optimization and Decision-Making under Uncertainty (e.g., in supply chain, finance, or healthcare operations).

Don't worry if you are new to complex theories! We are looking for students with strong coding/data skills to support our ongoing projects.

What You Will Do

Selected candidates will work closely with me on the empirical and computational aspects of our research:

  • Data Processing: Collecting, cleaning, and visualizing real-world business datasets.
  • Implementation: Assisting in implementing algorithms or models using Python/R (based on existing frameworks).
  • Literature Search: Helping organize references and summarize key findings.
  • Experimentation: Running numerical experiments and analyzing results.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Background: Undergraduate (Year 2+) or graduate students in:
    • Business Majors: Business Analytics, Information Systems, Operations Management, Quantitative Finance, or related fields.
    • Technical Majors: Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Python (especially Pandas/NumPy) or R.
    • Basic understanding of data structures.
    • Strong reading and writing skills in English.
    • (Note: Prior knowledge of optimization theory is a plus but NOT required.)
  • Commitment: Able to dedicate at least 10 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months.
  • Attitude: Responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
