Dr. Teng Huang is an assistant professor at the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China. She earned her Ph.D. in Operations and Information Management from the University of Connecticut School of Business.

Dr. Huang's research focuses on data-driven decision-making, integrating machine learning, optimization, and data science to address real-world business challenges. Her methodological expertise includes discrete optimization, stochastic optimization, and machine learning. She has applied her research to various business problems, such as retail facility location, team formation, and inventory management. Through her work, Dr. Huang aims to equip managers with the tools to make informed decisions in an ever-evolving business landscape.

Her research has been published in esteemed journals such as Production and Operations Management, INFORMS Journal on Computing, and Decision Support Systems. In recognition of her contributions, Dr. Huang received the Young Scientist Fund from the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2022. She serves as an associate editor for Decision Support Systems.

Beyond her research endeavors, Dr. Huang is deeply committed to shaping the next generation of business leaders. She teaches introductory-level courses on Python, artificial intelligence, and financial technology to undergraduate students; academic writing to graduate students; and management information systems to MBA students.
